Applied Information Technology Research Center Ltd (AITREC) was established in the year 2017 in order to provide professional training and certification services, to stimulate applied inter-disciplinary research and to provide IT and Security consultancy services that seek to improve industry practices.

Company Leadership
AITREC adopts a lean and effective governance structure designed to support excellence in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, Research, Training, and Innovation. The organization is overseen by a Board of Directors, with an independent Company Auditor responsible for ensuring accountability, compliance, financial integrity, and governance oversight.The Program Director provides strategic leadership and overall management of the Centre and oversees all departmental operations.
Progran Director/ Founder
Dr. Stanley Githinji, PhD is a Cybersecurity Researcher, Educator, ICT Consultant, and Program Director at AITREC (Applied Information Technology Research Center) with over 18 years of experience in cybersecurity, ICT, digital transformation, research, and professional training.
He holds a PhD in Information Systems (UNISA), MSc in IT – Security & Audit (Strathmore University), BSc in Applied Computer Science (Daystar University), and a Graduate Certificate in Instructional Design and Performance Improvement (Arizona State University).
His expertise spans Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, Digital Forensics, Cryptography, Blockchain Security, Data Privacy, Cyber Threat Intelligence, and Secure Systems Design. At AITREC, he leads CyberAI training, mentorship, research, and professional development, with a focus on equipping students and professionals with practical, industry-relevant technology skills.
